Too many people care about what others think of them.
This is why the phrase, “The most expensive place in the world is the graveyard because that’s where all the million dollar ideas go to die” exists.
There’s so many awesome ideas out there just lurking around in people’s mind but because they care too much about what others think, they never allow these ideas to manifest. I feel this way about bloggers, writers, idealists or whatever you identify with.
I realize that there’s going to be a lot of people who don’t like or agree with what I write, but guess what, I don’t give a shit because it’s my blog and trying to make everyone happy is a waste of time. I try to share a lot of experiences and ideas that may help others but I’ve come to accept that there’s going to be a lot of people who probably want to see me fail all the time. But who knows, maybe no one wants to see me fail. It doesn’t matter though. Regardless of what people think of me, I still enjoy sharing the stuff my mind wants me to share. I also welcome everyone to read and comment because I do learn from comments, I gain perspectives and it helps me to practice keeping an open mind.
So really, don’ give a shit. Write about and do whatever you want and whatever feeds your soul because like I’ve mentioned before, there’s always going to be a shit ton of people who resonate with you, even if you don’t think so. Billions of humans on Earth (I think roughly 7 billion), so trust me, the ones that resonate with you are out there trying to find you. But if you hold back because you focus too much about illusions of self worth, then they will never find you. Also, you will never get out those awesome million dollar ideas you created in that head of yours. Cheers!
