Law of Attraction: Manifesting with Indiana Jones

A little over a week ago, I made a comment on a YouTube video about how manifesting works. I really didn’t think it would get any attention but it did.

It was a video on Jay Shetty’s channel with guest speaker/author Gabrielle Bernstein. They were having a discussion on manifesting. You can view it here.

Since it seemed that a lot of people liked my response, it gave me an idea. The idea was on how I can find interesting ways of explaining manifestation and then blog about it.

The first idea I came up with involves Indiana Jones where he’s on a quest to seek the Holy Grail to save his father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. You can rent/buy that movie here. It’s awesome!

The whole manifestation process in the law of attraction, which I blog about here, starts when Indiana’s father, Henry, is shot in the temple where the Holy Grail is.

Indiana’s father is mortally wounded and has to find the Holy Grail in order to heal his father. However, it’s not an easy task because he has to make his way through various booby traps. To get through them, he has to use the diary his father wrote on how to get through them alive. He also has to find the courage to take a leap of faith towards a bridge he cannot see. This bridge leads to the chamber where the Holy Grail is located.

Once he makes it to the chamber, he encounters an ancient knight who’s there to protect the Grail. Fortunately, the knight is way too old to enforce protection and isn’t a threat to Indiana. However, behind him enters Donovan, who shot his father. He is also accompanied by Elsa, who betrayed him earlier in the movie.

Aside from Donovan and Elsa, Indiana needs to make a choice among all the Grails in the chamber. He finally makes his decision based on witnessing Elsa’s betrayal against Donovan, by going back to using the information he obtained from the diary. And of course, Indiana finds the true Holy Grail and brings it back with holy water to heal his father.

How Indiana Jones Manifested
Using key figures from the plot above, manifesting works this way:

Indiana serves as the person manifesting and healing his father is the goal of manifesting. In order for Indiana to save his father, he has to obtain the key to manifesting first, which is the Holy Grail.

To get to the Holy Grail, Indiana has to use a diary (meditation) to get through the series of booby traps (negative thoughts) and the leap of faith (believing before seeing). Once he gets to the chamber, he has to use what he learned (inner wisdom) from the diary to make the right selection of the Holy Grail (key=joy) among the other grails (failure).

As he’s trying to make a decision, he witnesses Elsa’s betrayal to Donovan (false beliefs about ourselves). He then goes back to what he learned from the diary (inner wisdom from meditation) to receive and make his final decision (joy) to bring back to his father for healing (goal manifested).
