Recommendations

I know my blog isn’t a finance blog, but because it is my personal blog, I felt compelled to share something of personal value other then what I normally share in my posts.

I decided that it would be nice to share some of the ways I either save money or earn extra cash that many people either don’t know about or think are suspect. I’ve listed a few of the recommended ways below and I’m continuously searching for more ways because modern technology has opened many doors towards the wonderful world of side hustles.

When you start to explore the wonderful world of side hustles, you start to develop the millionaire mindset. After all, as they say, the most financially successful people have multiple sources of income. And I couldn’t agree more.

Swagbucks
I use Swagbucks pretty much every day as my major side hustle. It’s a huge portal towards both saving and earning money.

I earn in the form of swagbucks for doing easy tasks and receive cash back from booking hotel rooms to buying tickets to nearby attractions. You can get almost double the deals from 3rd party traveling providers like Hotels.com, Expedia and Travelocity if you are logged into Swagbucks first.

There’s other pretty cool ways to earn cash back from Swagbucks, you just have to search around and find what interests you. I thought it was a scam but it’s actually pretty legit and their ratings are really high.

You can convert the swagbucks into cash via PayPal or gift cards. And best of all, it’s free to sign up and many of their featured deals actually pay you just to try them out. It’s just one of those hidden gems and I always keep my eye out for them. So, if this is of any interest to you, sign up for free with a $10 bonus here.

Inbox Dollars
I prefer to take surveys on this app as opposed to Swagbucks to earn extra cash. It’s actually easier in my opinion. The only thing I don’t like (which is actually what most people prefer) is that they only pay by check in the mail and they have a few selections of gift cards. However, it’s still cash, it’s also free to sign up, and it’s another high rated app! So, if this interests you, sign up for free with a $5 bonus here.

Ibotta
To me, Ibotta is electronic couponing, which is another high rated app and is also how I found out about it. Before you go shopping at places like Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, CVS, etc., check Ibotta to start marking coupons (you can mark them after you shop too). They also offer cash back just for submitting your receipts. It all depends on what deals they are offering at the time. I received a few dollars back just for buying things I was already going to buy like bananas and orange juice. Pretty sweet deal.

Ibotta is also free to sign up like Swagbucks and Inbox Dollars, So, if this interests you, sign up here with code ufmspld

Acorns
This is an investment app that I came across several months ago as a bonus from my cellphone provider, Verizon Wireless. Verizon offered to give me $10 to open an account to start investing if I added $5. I did and so far I’m pretty stoked about my progress. Thanks Verizon Wireless! Anyways, it’s also a high rated app and definitely something to think about if you are looking into investments. You also receive cash back for shopping. So if this interests you, sign up here.
