What Happened To the Daily Prompts?

Those were fun! It’s crazy how one word can inspire one thousand words.

I noticed that I haven’t been seeing the daily prompt posts lately.  It was a great way to see other people’s creativity spark up just from one word. I thought maybe I accidentally unfollowed it, so I did some digging. I went to the daily prompt page and was in disbelief that May was the last month of the daily prompts! Ouch.

Now I’m wondering if there’s any other page that is similar to the daily prompts. If you know, please comment. Thanks much!

How I Feel About Shopping Malls

I used to love them! But then yesterday, things changed.

When I was teenager (mid-late 90’s), I used to love trips to the mall. I was a military brat and grew up near the Marine Corps base (MCAGCC) out in the desert, in the middle of nowhere. If you wanted to disappear from society, that’s where you go. The nearest shopping mall was in Palm Springs, which was about 70 miles away!

Why You Shouldn’t Feel Intimidated At the Gym

The gym is meant to be a place where you strengthen your body, not be intimidated by the bodies of other people.

But this is normal and everyone starts somewhere, right?

Do You Consider Yourself a Compassionate Person?

An 88 year old man opened the door for me yesterday.

I wasn’t even that close to the door but he saw me coming and wanted to wait for me. I thought, “Wow, an elderly man who walks around with a cane wanted to open the door for me and wait?” Most men around my age (I’m 36) don’t even do that!

Who Is Billy Milligan?

The other day, I was watching a movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan called Split.

I’ve always been fascinated with the many movies directed by M. Night Shyamalan and Stanley Kubrick because they give rise to so many questions about the reality we live in.  When I watch their movies, I pay close attention the entire time, which says a lot about their directing skills because I’m the type of person who has a very short attention span and gets bored quickly. Basically, I am known to fall asleep in movie theaters.

As I was watching Split, I started to wonder if people really could take on the natural skillset or abilities of the different personalities that are “within” them. I also wanted to know more about the actor who portrayed the “core” character, Kevin, because he did a pretty damn good job.

So, my sister and I did a bit of digging.

What Will 2018 Bring Me?

A much different life than the one I’m currently living.

But before I explain, Happy “3.14” Day to everyone! Be sure to enjoy your favorite slice of “PI.E”, turn your “stressed” situations into “desserts” and make a toast to the life of Stephen Hawking.

So, 2018. What will this year bring me? Or rather, what will the rest of this year bring me?
