Back To the Gym Grind

If there is one thing that I refuse to do, it’s to allow myself to get out of shape for too long.

Since I’ve been on this US road trip for a couple of months, I’ve spent a lot of time sitting on my ass driving and eating like shit. I didn’t realize just how much muscle mass I’ve lost over the last couple of months and replaced it with body fat.

Why You Shouldn’t Feel Intimidated At the Gym

The gym is meant to be a place where you strengthen your body, not be intimidated by the bodies of other people.

When I first started going to the gym, years ago, I felt intimidated. I had no idea what I was doing, how to use most of the machines, what correct form was, how to use free weights and I got stared at because I was a twig and that feeling was very awkward. But this is normal and everyone starts somewhere, right?

Why I’m Not About that CrossFit Grind

To me, CrossFit is like a cavity. It can be a pain, cause issues and I just don’t like it.

I got into CrossFit about a few years ago. In general, I feel there are some great things about this type of fitness training/regiment/whatever you want to call it, but also some not so great things about it, as there are pros and cons to just about everything in life.

When I first heard about CrossFit, I thought it was badass. I’ve always been an advocate of fitness and mental strength and because I’m always willing to learn something new, I gave it a try.
